MyMedicare is a voluntary patient registration system designed to strengthen the connection between patients, their GP, their general practice, and primary care teams. By registering with your chosen general practice and selecting a preferred GP, additional government funding becomes available to help your primary care team provide the care you need.

Registration is voluntary and free for all Australians with a Medicare card or a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Veteran Card.

To register, you must have had at least two face-to-face appointments with the same practice in the past 24 months. This requirement is reduced to one appointment if you live in a remote area. Individuals facing hardship, including those experiencing domestic and family violence or homelessness, are exempt from all eligibility criteria.

How to register:

  1. Complete the registration process via your Medicare Online Account or the Express Plus Medicare Mobile App.  Our reception staff will then approve your registration in the MyMedicare system. Note: If you encounter any issues, try searching for the clinic without using apostrophes – Dr Dans Medical Clinic
  1. Reception may initiate the registration process, or you can request them to do so. This will prompt you to complete the registration through your Medicare Online Account or Express Plus Medicare Mobile App.
  1. Complete a registration form at our practice. By signing the form, you give your consent to participate in MyMedicare. Reception staff will finalize the registration in the MyMedicare system.
